Peppermint

Description

One of the world’s oldest herbal tisanes, peppermint’s name derives from the Latin word piperata, which describes the spicy menthol oils in the leaf, and the legendary Mentha, a beautiful nymph transformed into a sweet-smelling plant. Prized in antiquity for its invigorating and stomach-soothing abilities, a cup of peppermint is still a perfect end to a meal.
